Sinusitis (sinus infection)
Overview
You can treat sinusitis yourself by resting, drinking fluids, taking painkillers, and using decongestants and nasal sprays.
Treatments for sinusitis from a GP can include steroid nasal sprays or drops, antihistamines and antibiotics. Sometimes you may need surgery.
Sinusitis is where the sinuses (small, empty spaces behind your cheekbones and forehead) become swollen, usually caused by an infection.
