Warts and verrucas

The main symptom of a wart or verruca is a small, rough lump on the skin.

Warts and verrucas can be treated with creams, plasters and sprays you can get from a pharmacy.

Sometimes a GP may be able to remove a wart or verruca by freezing it.

If you have a wart or verruca, you can help stop it spreading by covering it while swimming, washing your hands regularly and not scratching it.

Warts and verrucas are small lumps on the skin caused by a virus. They spread easily though skin contact and touching infected surfaces.
