Low sperm count
Overview
The main test for low sperm count is a semen analysis test, which checks the amount of sperm in a sample of your semen.
Things you can do that may help improve low sperm count include drinking less alcohol, losing weight if you're overweight and not smoking.
If you have a low sperm count and you and your partner are struggling to conceive, treatments include IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Low sperm count is when there's a low amount of sperm in your semen. It can make it harder for you and your partner to get pregnant (conceive).
