Treatments for hearing loss caused by otosclerosis include getting a hearing aid, or having surgery to remove 1 of the small bones in the ear.

Otosclerosis happens when small bones inside the ear join together. You are more likely to get it if one of your close relatives has it.

Otosclerosis is a problem with the bones inside the ear which causes gradual hearing loss. It can be treated with hearing aids or surgery.
