Non-allergic rhinitis
Overview
The most common symptoms of non-allergic rhinitis are a blocked or runny nose, sneezing, an itchy nose and a reduced sense of smell.
Common causes of non-allergic rhinitis include having a cold, very hot or cold temperatures, humidity, alcohol, spicy foods and pregnancy.
You can usually treat non-allergic rhinitis yourself by using nasal sprays from a pharmacy or rinsing your nose with a salt water solution.
Non-allergic rhinitis happens when the inside of your nose becomes irritated, causing a blocked or runny nose.
