Symptoms of roseola usually start with a temperature, cold-like symptoms and swollen eyelids or glands in the neck. After 3 to 5 days a rash appears.

You can usually look after a child or baby with roseola at home with rest, fluids and painkillers. The infection should pass within a week.

Roseola is a very common infection that mainly affects babies and toddlers. It causes a high temperature and a rash.
