Eyelid problems are not usually serious. It's fairly common to have a lump, or itchy, flaky or sticky eyelids that clear up by themselves.

There are many types of eyelid problems. Common causes include a stye, conjunctivitis and allergic reactions.

A pharmacist can give you advice about treatments for common eyelid problems, such as cleaning solutions if your eyelids are sticky.

Eyelid problems are not usually serious and often clear up without treatment. But see a GP or an optician if your symptoms do not improve or persist.
