Bloating is usually due to having lots of gas in your gut. It can be caused by some food and drinks, and conditions like irritable bowel syndrome.

You can usually help reduce bloating by making changes to your diet and lifestyle, such as not having too many foods or drinks that can cause bloating

Treatment for bloating depends on what is causing it. A GP may refer you to a specialist for tests and treatment if needed.

Bloating is a common problem where your tummy feels full and uncomfortable. There are things you can do to ease it, but see a GP if it happens a lot.
