Overview

Open all pages about Indigestion

Symptoms of indigestion can include heartburn, bloating, feeling sick, burping and bringing up food into your mouth.

To treat indigestion, there are things you can do such as cutting down on tea, coffee, cola or alcohol or losing weight if you're overweight.

Indigestion is often due to stomach acid irritating your stomach or throat (acid reflux). It can be triggered by certain foods and things like stress.

Most people have indigestion (dyspepsia) at some point. Usually, it’s not a sign of anything more serious and you can treat it yourself.
