Causes of fainting can include standing up too quickly, not eating or drinking enough and having a heart problem.

Signs that you're about to faint include dizziness, changes to your vision and feeling sick.

You can try to stop yourself fainting by lying down with your legs raised, sitting with your head between your knees, or drinking some water.

Fainting is when you pass out for a short time. It's not usually a sign of something serious, but if it happens regularly you should see a GP.
