Symptoms of Bell's palsy include weakness on 1 side of your face, a drooping eyelid or corner of your mouth.

Treatment for Bell's palsy includes a 10-day course of steroids, eyedrops and eye ointment. Treatment should start as soon as possible.

You cannot prevent Bell's palsy. It's thought to be caused by an infection. You can sometimes get it more than once.

Bell's palsy is temporary weakness or lack of movement affecting 1 side of your face.
