Toe pain can have lots of causes. You can usually ease the pain yourself but see a GP if it has not improved after treating it at home for 2 weeks.
To help ease toe pain, you can rest and raise your foot, ice your toe regularly, and wear wide comfortable shoes with a low heel and soft sole.
Overexercising and wearing tight shoes often causes toe pain. You can also get toe pain if you have an ingrown toenail, bunions or gout.
