Overview
Symptoms of sick building syndrome include a headache, a blocked or runny nose, a cough, tiredness and dry or irritated skin, eyes or throat.
You can ease symptoms of sick building syndrome by opening windows, keeping the temperature around 19C and taking breaks outside to get fresh air.
The cause of sick building syndrome is not clear, but may include poor ventilation, poorly maintained air conditioning systems, dust or bright lights.
Sick building syndrome is when you get certain symptoms, like headaches, while you're in a particular building, such as an office.
