Having dry eyes can make your eyes feel itchy, gritty and sore. Your eyes may also look red and be more watery than usual.

Dry eyes are due to not making enough tears or tears drying up quickly. Common causes include dust, screen use and a condition called blepharitis.

Things you can do to ease dry eyes include cleaning your eyelids every day, taking regular breaks when using a screen and avoiding dusty places.

Many people get dry eyes. It's not usually serious and there are things you can do to help.
