A GP may be able to remove a wart or verruca by freezing it. A podiatrist can also provide a number of treatments for verrucas.
If you have a wart or verruca, you can help stop it spreading by covering it while swimming, washing your hands regularly and not scratching it.
Warts and verrucas are small lumps on the skin caused by a virus. They spread easily though skin contact and touching infected surfaces.
