Blepharitis is where the edges of your eyelids become red and swollen.
Symptoms of blepharitis include sore eyelids, itchy eyes and a gritty feeling in the eyes.
You can usually treat blepharitis by cleaning your eyelids every day. If that does not work, a GP may prescribe antibiotic creams or drops.
Blepharitis can be caused by a type of bacteria living on your skin, or a skin condition like dermatitis.
