There's currently no cure for Sjögren's syndrome, but there are treatments that can help relieve the symptoms.


Sjögren's syndrome is a condition that affects parts of the body that produce fluids like tears and spit (saliva).


A common symptom of Sjögren's syndrome is dryness in different parts of your body, such as dry eyes, a dry mouth, dry skin or vaginal dryness.


Treatment for Sjögren's syndrome depends on your symptoms. For example, dry eyes may be treated with eye drops or tablets that help you produce tears.


Sjögren's syndrome is caused by the immune system mistakenly attacking the body. It mainly affects areas that produce fluids like tears or saliva.
