Symptoms of gastroparesis usually happen after eating. They can include feeling full quickly, feeling sick and being sick, tummy pain and bloating.

Tests for gastroparesis can include blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound scans, and tests to check how quickly your stomach empties.

Treatment for gastroparesis may include making changes to your diet, medicines, a feeding tube and surgery.

The cause of gastroparesis is not always known. It can be caused by other conditions such as diabetes and can also happen after stomach surgery.

Gastroparesis is where food passes through the stomach slower than it should.
